The story
Villa Pignatelli is one of the most beautiful neoclassical villas of Naples, on the Riviera di Chiaia. Built in 1826 to a design by Pietro Valente for the English baronet Ferdinand Acton, it later passed to the Rothschilds and finally to the Pignatelli, who kept it until 1955, when Princess Rosina left it to the State. Since 1960 it has been a museum.

The neoclassical rooms with furnishings, porcelain and bronzes of the Prince Diego Aragona Pignatelli Cortés Museum, the English garden and, in the former stables, the Museum of Carriages with the nineteenth-century vehicles. A corner of aristocratic elegance facing Chiaia.
