The origins of Torre Le Nocelle date, according to the testimonies, to the Roman and pre-Roman age: in the territory the remains of a Roman aqueduct along the Calore have been found and three columns of cipollino marble, from a pagan temple, today kept in the church of San Ciriaco. In the Middle Ages the town was one of the lookout and defence bulwarks of the area.
