The story
Campoli del Monte Taburno develops on the south-eastern side of the Taburno, in the midst of expanses of vineyards and olive groves. In the medieval documents it is called Campora. The village arose essentially after the 1456 earthquake, when the inhabitants of a nearby district gathered in this locality; for centuries it remained tied to nearby Cacciano, on which it depended until the eighteenth century.
What to see
The small centre, among the vineyards and olive groves of the Taburno, keeps the atmosphere of the agricultural villages of the massif. The position, on the hills of Benevento facing the Taburno, is part of its rural character.
