The story
Il Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Eboli, aperto nel 2000, racconta la media valle del Sele — da sempre crocevia di genti e culture, allo sbocco di grandi vie di transito. Ha sede nell'ex convento di San Francesco, complesso fondato nel XIII secolo, poi municipio e scuola, danneggiato dai bombardamenti della guerra e recuperato negli anni Novanta.

Il percorso espositivo ripercorre le fasi dell'insediamento umano nella valle del Sele attraverso i corredi e i reperti degli scavi del territorio. È il museo che aiuta a leggere la storia dell'entroterra salernitano, tra la piana di Paestum e l'Appennino.
