The story

Karim Rashid has turned Università station into a flash of magenta and fluid surfaces, futuristic geometries conceived as a hymn to knowledge and connection.

The story

The Università station, on Line 1 of the Naples metro in Piazza Bovio, is one of the most original Art Stations: the architect Alessandro Mendini and the designer Karim Rashid signed it, transforming it in 2011 into an explosion of colours and futuristic forms dedicated to knowledge and communication.

What to see

Fuchsia and acid green, three-dimensional panels, black columns in the shape of human profiles and the 'Synapsi' installation that evokes the connections of the brain: a pop and digital environment that seems a total work of art, among the most photographed of the metro.

It is visited by taking the metro (Line 1, Università stop) with an ANM ticket. You are in Piazza Bovio, in the area of the University and the old centre, near Spaccanapoli. A total contrast with the more classic stations.
